The ARCUS Annual Meeting is an important opportunity for our Members, Board of Directors, staff, and other interested individuals to meet, talk, and connect with one another around key Arctic research and education issues and collaboration opportunities. The meeting is an open event and you do not need to be an ARCUS individual member or institutional affiliate to participate—all are welcome!

9:10 - 9:50 (40 min) - Panel Discussion #1: ARCUS Member Research & Collaboration Opportunities
This panel will showcase the work ARCUS members have accomplished over the past year to advance Arctic research. Panelists will highlight key findings and discuss emerging issues and opportunities that the Arctic research community should focus on in the coming year. Participants will explore how these accomplishments shape future research directions and collaboration.


9:50 - 10:30 (40 min) - Panel Discussion #2: Bridging Arctic Research and Community Needs
This panel will spotlight the work ARCUS members are doing to align Arctic research with the priorities and needs of Arctic communities. Panelists will share real-world examples of successful collaborations and discuss how others can get involved. The session will also explore further steps to ensure research efforts serve Arctic communities.


10:30 - 11:10 (40 min) - Panel Discussion #3: Strengthening the National U.S. Arctic Research Network
This panel will examine the challenges and opportunities in building a unified U.S. national network of Arctic research institutions. Panelists will explore how the ARCUS Consortium framework can help overcome obstacles and foster greater collaboration. The discussion will focus on actions the U.S. research community should take to prepare for the upcoming International Polar Year (IPY).


11:10 - 11:25 (15 min) - Break
An opportunity for informal networking and conversation in the "Virtual Coffee Break" Zoom breakout rooms.


11:25 - 11:40 (15 min) - Introduction to ARCUS Board Leadership
- Recognition of Board Members completing their terms
- Introduction to the Board election process, Board roles, and current nominees
- Remarks from the new ARCUS President-Elect


11:40 - 11:50 (10 min) - ARCUS 2025 Committees & Other Ways to Get Involved
- Preview of 2025 committees and their areas of focus
- Process for proposing new Member-led committees
- How to submit nominations for committee membership


11:50 - 12:00 (10 min) - ARCUS Membership Updates & Closing Remarks
- Updates on ARCUS member benefits and services for 2025
- Request for attention to membership renewals
- Next steps for institutions and individuals interested in joining the ARCUS Consortium


12:00 - 12:15 (15 min) - Adjourn & Informal Networking
The Annual Meeting will adjourn at 12pm AK. However, participants who would like the opportunity to network with other meeting participants will have an opportunity to stay and participate in a break-out room round-robin.
