Between 1988 and 2025, ARCUS held Annual Meetings nearly every year. These gatherings have taken place as virtual meetings, as stand-alone face-to-face meetings, and as meetings or receptions in conjunction with other events, such as the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting. The Annual Meetings brought together members, the Board of Directors, ARCUS staff, and other members of the Arctic research community to share updates, build connections, and strengthen collaboration.

2025 ARCUS Annual Meeting – Special Final Community Call

In July 2025, the ARCUS Board and Institutional Members voted to sunset ARCUS as a 501(c)(3) organization. In light of this milestone, and in lieu of a traditional Annual Meeting, we invite the Arctic research community to join a final celebratory community call on September 19 to honor nearly four decades of ARCUS.

Since 1988, ARCUS has been a hub for the Arctic research community—connecting researchers, educators, Indigenous knowledge holders, and decision-makers; fostering collaboration across disciplines and international boundaries; supporting education and outreach programs; and amplifying the voice of Arctic science. This final call provides an opportunity to reflect on ARCUS’s history, share stories and memories, and celebrate the people, partnerships, and institutions that have made ARCUS so meaningful.
