Meeting Goals:

  • Priority 1: Finalize 3-5 SEARCH priority goals to complete over the next 1-5 years
  • Priority 2: Finalize specific, measurable objectives for each goal
  • Priority 3: Discuss activities to support goals/objectives, needed science support, and SEARCH structural issues

KEY PRODUCT: Document with priority goals and objectives that can be circulated to agencies, panels, other key partners, and to serve as guide for SEARCH activities.

Times are all tentative and agenda will be adaptive – we will do what we need to, when we need to, in order to get the product.

Discussion of requirements for goals

  • What are we looking for?
  • How should the goals relate to existing SEARCH documents (Understanding Change questions, AON recommendations) and other reports?

Open brainstorming of SEARCH goals, including round-robin or other creative exercise ­ what would a successful SEARCH look like?

  • What is realistic and possible over the next few years for interagency coordination?

Discussion of A-CADIS data project with Mark Serreze (NSDIC) and Jim Moore (NCAR/EOL), co-PIs
