Antarctic Proposal Workshop

This Antarctic Proposal Workshop is being held to encourage proposals
from new investigators. At the workshop, OPP staff will discuss
antarctic research and education opportunities; operations and research
support in Antarctica; proposal preparation and review; and NSF policies
and programs.
Attendance at the proposal workshop will be limited to researchers who
have not received OPP research grants and who are eligible or will be
eligible to apply for an NSF research grant by the 2 June 2003 proposal
deadline. Ph.D. candidates within one year of graduation, postdoctoral
fellows, and new faculty are particularly encouraged to apply to attend.
Airline tickets for attendance will be provided to approximately 50
selected workshop participants and an additional 50 participants can be
accommodated without travel support. All attendees are responsible for
the cost of meals and housing.
