The overall goal of the MS and PHDS in Ocean Sciences Program is to
provide mentoring experiences that promote the retention and advancement
of underrepresented minority students interested in pursuing
professional careers in the earth system science.
The 2002-2003 program will be held from May 4-10, 2003 in Washington,
D.C. as part of the Final Joint Global Ocean Flux's Open Ocean Science
Meeting. This year's program science theme is ocean biogeochemistry.
All students interested in earth system sciences are encouraged to
apply. The 2002-2003 MS and PHDS Program Application Deadline is
November 1, 2002.
