Registration and abstracts are now being accepted for the 11th
biannual EISCAT International Radar Workshop, to be held at SRI
International in Menlo Park, California, from 22-29 August 2003.

The EISCAT (European Incoherent SCATter) Scientific Association is an
international research organization operating incoherent scatter radar
systems in Northern Scandinavia. It is funded and operated by the
research councils of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Japan, France, the United
Kingdom and Germany. EISCAT studies the interaction between the Sun and
the Earth as revealed by disturbances in the magnetosphere and the
ionized parts of the atmosphere (interactions which also give rise to
the aurora borealis, or Northern Lights).
