The Churchill Northern Studies Centre, under contract to Parks Canada
Agency, is undertaking an 18-month project entitled Local & Traditional
Knowledge in Climate Change Impact Monitoring. The purpose of this
project is to develop a methodology for using local and traditional
knowledge in the ongoing monitoring of climate change impacts on polar
bears in Wapusk National Park.

The Centre is seeking applicants for a Biologist/Ecologist position for
the above program. The successful candidate will hold a Master's Degree
(or equivalent experience) with a northern co-management, wildlife,
traditional resource use, or related focus. Basic statistical skills and
experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is required. The
ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals of
varying age, education, and cultural backgrounds is essential.
