AGU Meeting Room Request
Meeting space for groups working on Arctic research and science education planning activities will be available for use by appointment during the Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU). This space is provided by the Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS) to encourage scientific collaboration and to facilitate face-to-face meetings of opportunity, and is funded by the National Science Foundation's Division of Polar Programs.
Meeting rooms will be available Monday, 12 December through Thursday, 15 December for reservations. These meeting rooms, Auburn/Cord and Hudson/Commodore, will be located at the Hiltons at McCormick Place (123 E Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL 60616). Reservations of up to two-hour time blocks will be available. Auburn/Cord can accommodate up to 50 participants. Hudson/Commodore can accommodate up to 30 participants.
The community meeting rooms are available free of charge. Technology available in Auburn/Cord will include the use of a projector and screen, microphone, wifi, and a presentation computer, if needed. Hudson/Commodore will include a built-in 75” flat-screen monitor able to connect to laptops and devices. Meeting organizers are responsible for all costs associated with use of the conference phones.
Catering options are available and orders may be placed through ARCUS. Meeting organizers are responsible for all catering costs. Menus will be available upon request.
Navigating to the Meeting Rooms:
The meeting rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the Hiltons at McCormick Place hotel complex (123 E Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL 60616), near the indoor skyway to the convention center. If you are in the center of the convention center, follow the signs to the WEST building and the bridge is in the North West corner.
