The Sea Ice Prediction Network (SIPN; http://www.arcus.org/sipn)
announces an open Town Hall at the AGU Fall Meeting. It will take place
Wednesday, 11 December at 6:30-7:30 p.m. PST, in the ARCUS Arctic
Community Meeting Room (San Francisco Marriott Marquis, 4th Floor,
Pacific Room J). Refreshments will be served.

SIPN is a newly funded project that will develop a collaborative network
of scientists and stakeholders to advance research on Arctic sea ice
prediction and communicate sea ice knowledge and tools. SIPN builds on
the Sea Ice Outlook (http://www.arcus.org/search/seaiceoutlook) to:

- Coordinate and evaluate activities to predict sea ice.
- Integrate, assess, and guide observations.
- Synthesize predictions and observations.
- Disseminate predictions and engage key stakeholders.

The Town Hall will provide a venue to present and discuss SIPN project
goals and solicit input from the broader community on network activities.
