In conjunction with Polar Week this September, the U.S. Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (USAPECS) invites submissions and suggestions of short films for the 6th Annual International Polar Film Festival. This year’s theme is Stories of Environmental and Social Change in the Polar Regions.
For five days, the Polar Film Festival will showcase several short videos on topics related to the Polar regions to the public and broader APECS community. Films will be hosted digitally each day during Polar Week.
Those interested can submit or suggest any short films or videos (1-30 minutes long) related to this year’s theme using the online form. Submissions of independently created films (created by yourself or someone you know) are welcomed and encouraged.
Organizers are also looking for volunteer film reviewers and for people to host in-person screenings. Those interested in doing so can indicate this on the film submission form or email usapecs [at] gmail.com.
Videos featured at the 2020 Film Festival can be viewed online.
