The Department of Oceanography within the Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) invites applications for positions of research professor and postdoctoral researcher in oceanography. The research professorship appointment could be at the level of research assistant, associate, or full professor and will be located in Monterey, California.
NPS seeks individuals who have demonstrated a strong record of scholarship in any aspect of physical oceanography.
Minimum qualifications include:
- A doctorate degree in an oceanography, engineering, or related field;
- Demonstrated publication record, commensurable to the applied position;
- Evidence of potential to advise student theses and dissertations; and
- Evidence of research aptitude.
U.S. citizenship is required to apply for this position.
