The Ecologic Institute invites registration for the 2018 Arctic Summer College. Sessions will take place online between 2 July and 2 September 2018.
Eight Arctic Summer College sessions will be hosted live online between 11 July and 29 August 2018. Information about the presentations and the selection of working groups will be available at the introductory administrative session on 2 July 2018. A closing session will be scheduled for the beginning of September.
Arctic Summer College provides an interdisciplinary learning environment to increase knowledge and understanding of the people, policies, and environment of the Arctic, and participants will engage with Arctic experts in a variety of fields.
Organizers have created modules for each of the core fields. Each topic will be covered over two weeks and each module will conclude with a group presentation by participants and this year's Arctic Summer College Fellows.
The four thematic modules, and associated scheduled dates, include:
- Environmental sciences: 11 and 18 July 2018,
- Energy and resources: 25 July and 1 August 2018,
- International governance: 8 and 15 August 2018, and
- Social sciences: 22 and 29 August 2018.
Applicants are asked to state their module preferences for the group presentation on the application form.
