Asiaq, Greenland Survey invites applications for a researcher and program coordinator within the Hydrology, Climate, and Environment group. This full-time permanent position will be located at Asiaq, Greenland Survey in Nuuk, Greenland.
The successful candidate will have research experience within the field of climatology or cryosphere, have a publication record, and be well-established in international network. Ideally, applicants should have Arctic experience, have previously worked with interdisciplinary projects, possess advanced programming skills, be experienced in processing of large data sets and/or database handling, and be willing to travel for fieldwork. Excellent spoken and written English is required. Experience with project management, research applications, and public outreach is essential.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Ensuring continuity in the monitoring;
- Organizing and conducting field work;
- Performing quality control, processing, and analysis of the monitoring data; and
- Publish the results to the scientific community and to public outreach.
