The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy (ACCAP) announces a webinar titled The Alaska Ocean Observing System: Eyes on Alaska's Oceans and Coast. This webinar will be presented by Molly McCammon, Executive Director of the Alaska Ocean Observing System (AOOS) and will take place Tuesday, 3 April 2018.

The webinar will be available online or in-person at the Akasofu building, Room 407 on the University of Alaska campus.

Webinar Summary:

Molly McCammon will discuss the latest partnerships, ocean observing projects, and data products and applications produced by AOOS, the Alaska regional component of the national Integrated Ocean Observing System. Begun in 2004, AOOS is now one of the leaders in Alaska facilitating ocean observations, piloting new technologies, and making the use of ocean data easier for navigation safety, emergency response, and ecosystem management.
