Organizers will convene an Arctic climate policy seminar titled "Snow,
Water, Ice, and Permafrost in the Arctic: Documenting an Unraveling
Arctic" during the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program's (AMAP)
International Conference on Arctic Science: Bringing Knowledge to
Action. The seminar will be held on Monday, 24 April 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
EDT.

This seminar, organized by the International Cryosphere Climate
Initiative (ICCI), on behalf of Arctic 21, will feature lead authors
from AMAP's Snow, Water, Ice, and Permafrost in the Arctic (SWIPA)
update report that will be officially released the next day. The seminar
will include a panel discussion of the implications of the report
findings for Arctic security issues, the future of the Paris Agreement,
the 2018 Stocktaking Exercise, and the Arctic Council Ministerial
meeting to be held in Fairbanks on 11 May 2017.

This seminar is organized primarily for policy-makers, students, and
others who may not be attending the entire conference.
