Planetary Physics (EAPP) invites prospective graduate students to apply
for study and research opportunities in the area of Atmosphere/Ocean
Physics.

The Department invites prospective graduate student with a B.Sc. in
Physics or a cognate discipline, including Mathematics, Computer
Science, Engineering Science, Environmental Physics, and
Atmospheric/Oceanic science to apply to their programs.

Environmental Reconstructions and Cryosphere Response

The Arctic Institute of North America (AINA) at the University of
Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in
Environmental Reconstructions and Cryosphere Response to Climate Change
in southwestern Yukon Territory. This two-year position will start on 1
November 2016 and be based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The successful candidate will be involved in the development and
synthesis of historical environmental datasets (e.g., climate,
permafrost, and hydrological data) in Kluane National Park and
southwestern Yukon Territory, Canada. She/he will have earned an PhD in
Earth or environmental sciences and have research experience in climate
science or environmental impacts of climate change and have an
established record of research productivity and the ability to work
independently and resourcefully. Field skills and experience working
with remote sensing products and geographic information system (GIS)
software are assets.
