Organizers remind the Arctic community that registration is available
for the 2016 Arctic Observing Summit (AOS). Early online registration is
available at a reduced rate. The meeting will be held 15-18 March 2016
in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Early online registration deadline: Tuesday, 1 March 2016.
On-site registration will be available starting Friday, 11 March 2016,
but rates will be higher, and some optional tours and events may be sold
out.
The AOS is a core event that includes the International Arctic Assembly
Day, plenary speakers, poster presentations, and focused discussions.
The AOS is being held in conjunction with the Arctic Science Summit Week
(ASSW), a suite of meetings and other Arctic-themed events that include
Arctic Council Senior Arctic Officials (SAO) and Working Group meetings,
workshops, meetings and events organized by international polar
organizations, institutes and agencies, public lectures, and other
activities.
Community input submitted as white papers, short statements, and poster
abstracts can be reviewed by AOS participants and the public, and are
available on the AOS 2016 website. Over 80 white papers and short
statements have been contributed.
