  1. NOAA Release:
    Arctic Action Plan

NOAA has released an Arctic Action Plan supporting the National
Strategy for the Arctic Region. The plan provides NOAA scientists,
stakeholders, and partners with a roadmap to making shared progress in
monitoring, understanding, and protecting the Arctic. It was released 21
April 2014.

The document provides an integrated overview of NOAA's Arctic programs
and how those missions, products, and services support the goals set
forth in the President's National Strategy for the Arctic Region, which
was released May 2013.

  1. New AMAP Report Summary
    Arctic Ocean Acidification

The Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) has released a new
report on Arctic Ocean Acidification (AOA). This new report is a
summary, of the scientific/technical information presented in the
comprehensive AMAP AOA published in 2013. This summary is aimed at the
general public for educational use.

All AMAP reports published on the AMAP website are freely available
OpenAccess publications. AMAP encourages their use for individual and
educational purposes. A limited number of printed copies of reports are
available at the cost of shipping.

  1. Canadian Polar Commission Report
    The State of Northern Knowledge in Canada

The Canadian Polar Commission has released a new report entitled "The
State of Northern Knowledge in Canada." The report analyzes the gains in
knowledge made since 2007, the beginning of the International Polar
Year, to determine current opportunities for research. The report
focuses on the perspectives of northern peoples and highlights new
knowledge available to address issued identified by that community.
