The Arctic Research Consortium of the U.S. (ARCUS) is pleased to
announce the availability of a community meeting room at the fall
meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU), to be held 2-7
December 2012, in San Francisco, California.

The meeting room is available in two hour blocks for groups working on
arctic research and science education planning activities. In order to
accommodate as many meetings as possible, each group is limited to one
reservation during peak hours (2:00-10:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday). There
may be opportunity to extend timeframes after all groups have been
accommodated.

The Arctic Community Meeting Room is hosted by ARCUS to encourage
scientific collaboration, educational networking, and face-to-face
meetings. Providing meeting space such as this is one aspect of the
services ARCUS offers to the arctic science community for the
advancement of arctic research and education. Scheduling priority will
be given to groups related to NSF-funded programs.

The meeting room is on the fourth floor of the San Francisco Marriott
Marquis, Pacific Room J. The Marriott is located at 55 Fourth Street,
one block from the AGU sessions at the Moscone Center West.

The room will be set conference-style to accommodate 40 people, and will
have an LCD projector, screen, flip chart, podium, lapel microphone,
wireless microphone, and speakerphone available. The room also will have
a printer and high-speed Internet connection. Food and beverages will be
available through the hotel, for a fee.
