This is the Second Announcement that we are seeking comments on the draft
science plan for the National Science Foundation's Arctic Social Sciences
Program--by Monday, 2 March 1998. The initial draft was developed by an
interdisciplinary group of Arctic social scientists who came together at a
workshop in October 1997. We are now seeking a broad community review of
the draft science plan; your recommendations are invited and encouraged.
The draft science plan can be downloaded from the ARCUS Web site at
http://arcus.polarnet.com/ArcSocSci/. If you cannot download the draft
plan, contact ARCUS as soon as possible and we will mail you a hard copy.
