Dear Colleagues,

SCICEX, Scientific Ice Expeditions, is a program of Arctic marine science
conducted on U.S. Navy submarines. The SCICEX 2000 Workshop was held in
October of 1998 to discuss science accomplished during five cruises, and to
consider what might supersede SCICEX.

The report from the SCICEX 2000 Workshop is now being distributed. It can
be downloaded from:

http://psc.apl.washington.edu/scicex/scicex2000.html

With appendices it is some 125 pages long. The report itself is about 30
pages and is downloadable separately from the appendices.

We would be happy to send you a hard copy. Please send your address to
Shannon Hickman at shannon [at] apl.washington.edu.

More information about the workshop is available at the above web site,
along with links to sites with more information about SCICEX.

Sincerely,

Drew Rothrock and
Wieslaw Maslowski
