Bathymetric Map of the Arctic Ocean, in 1 sheet, scale 1:5 000 000,
Stereographic projection, German D. Naryshkin, Russian Navy Hydrographic
Office, Research Institute VNIIOkeangeologia, 1999. Russian and English
versions.

Bathymetric contours' interval 200 metres. This truly excellent map is
based on the Arctic Ocean bathymetry database of the Russian Navy
Hydrographic Office derived from the systematic hydrographic surveys,
including surveys from ice, and heretofore used for military needs only.
The map provides a completely new level of knowledge about the Arctic
Ocean bathymetry, drastically different from this reflected on GEBCO
series or on other existing maps.

Orthographic Map Of the Arctic Basin, in 1 sheet, scale 1:5 000 000,
Gnomonic projection, Ac. I.S. Gramberg, G.D. Naryshkin,
VNIIOkeangeologia, Hydrographic Office of the Russian Navy. Helsinki,
1995. Explanatory text and legend are in Russian and English.
The map shows boundaries of the Arctic Ocean seafloor relief forms and
it can be a useful supplement to the Bathymetric Map of the Arctic
Ocean. Bottom topography is represented by totality of elementary
surfaces delimited by structural lines (crest, thalweg, lines showing
concave and convex topography bends). These lines make structural
framework of the bottom topography, and at the same time they are
boundaries of elementary surfaces and of complexes of elementary
surfaces. Slope is shown in 3 categories: up to 20', 20' to 4 deg., more
than 4 deg. Types of elementary surfaces, slope and topography forms are
shown by color. The map legend consists of 23 symbols.

The map includes also 5 trans-arctic profiles, 24 profiles of Hakkel
Ridge, a set of profiles (without geographical tie) of Lomonosov Ridge,
and bathymetric scheme of the Eurasian sub-basin.
