Two-Year Post Doctoral Position in Physical Ocean Modeling
and
Two-Year Post Doctoral Position in Atmospheric Modeling

The Oil Spill Recovery Institute (OSRI) is seeking a post-doctoral
researcher for modeling of atmospheric conditions in Prince William Sound
(PWS). The chosen candidate will have the ability to implement operation of
models such as the MM5 in near real-time data acquisition systems.
Candidates should have experience with integrating modeling applications
into a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for end-users. The ability to write
code and work within an interdisciplinary team are vital. The chosen
candidate will assist in the development of a Nowcast/Forecast (NF) system
for PWS incorporating physical and biological models into a three
dimensional real-time comprehensive ecosystem model for identifying and
protecting resources at risk to oil-spills. NF is the primary initiative of
OSRI and the selected candidate will play a principal role in the success of
this effort. PhD or equivalent is required and preference will be given to
those with experience at the doctoral level. Remuneration is $40,000 per
year plus benefits package as outlined below.

OSRI is also seeking a post-doctoral researcher for modeling of physical
oceanographic conditions in Prince William Sound (PWS). The chosen candidate
will have the ability to implement operation of the Princeton Ocean Model
(PWSPOM) in near real-time data acquisition systems. Candidates should have
experience with integrating POM applications into a Graphical User Interface
(GUI) for end-users. The ability to write code and work within an
