ARCTIC BIBLIOGRAPHY
Available ONLY on "Arctic & Antarctic Regions".

NISC is please to announce the inclusion of the "Arctic Bibliography
on Arctic & Antarctic Regions" (AAR). The American Geological
Institute, with funding from the National Science Foundation, created
an electronic database from the 16 published volumes and the
unpublished 17th volume of the "Arctic Bibliography". A total of 114,
580 records with English abstracts provide access to the literature
of the Arctic region from the earliest explorations through the
1970s. Coverage includes literature in the arts, sciences, and
technology in more than twenty languages.

The "Arctic Bibliography" is a welcomed addition to the "Arctic &
Antarctic Regions" database anthology, the most comprehensive
resource from research on cold regions from temperate regions with
cold winters to the Himalayas of Tibet. "Arctic & Antarctic Regions"
combines 12 database files from various international institutions
and governmental sources. Over 960,000 bibliographic records (many
with abstracts) from 1800 to the present provide multi disciplinary
coverage that is valuable to any polar specialist.

Access to "Arctic & Antarctic Regions" is available on CD-ROM and
