The Seismic Expression of Contourites and Related Deposits Workshop will
be held in Trieste, Italy on 16-18 October 2000. The workshop is
specially dedicated to contourite workers dealing with seismic data.
High-latitude (polar) glacially fed contourite systems produced by the
interaction of downslope and alongslope processes will be discussed as
well. The workshop, endorsed by IGCP Project 432 "Contourites, Bottom
Currents and Paleocirculation" is organised by the Istituto Nazionale di
Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS), Italy.
