The conference will include keynote papers, oral presentations, and
poster sessions. Authors will be requested to accompany their poster
during the relevant scheduled poster session. Delegates will be informed
in December 2000 on the form of their presentation (oral or poster).

CONFERENCE BANQUET
The conference banquet, followed by a concert, will be held on the
evening of Wednesday, 28 March 2001. The cost will be $60 (U.S.).

Delegates should make their hotel reservations at the earliest possible

POST CONFERENCE FIELD EXCURSION
A Geomorphological Transect through the Apennines

TOPICS
Past periglacial features (stratified slope deposits, climatically
related terraces); paleosols; Holocene evolution of rivers; travertine
dams, large-scale landslides; deep-seated gravitational slope
deformations; active tectonics.

The post conference field excursion will cost $120 (U.S.), including all
transport, food, and accommodations.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
Registration forms, with details of payment (by card, cheque, etc.) will
be included with the FINAL CIRCULAR, which will be sent to all those who
have submitted a preliminary registration. The local organising
committee in Rome will mail this directly to delegates in October 2000.

An abstracts volume will be prepared for the meeting. Abstracts should
be submitted to the Conference Editorial Committee at the University of
Cardiff, UK no later than 1 October 2000 and should be no more than one
side of A4 (including diagrams, references, etc.) in camera-ready form.
