The SBI Project Office is pleased to inform you that the Announcement of
Opportunity for the Phase II Western Arctic Shelf-Basin Interactions
(SBI) project proposal submission is now publically available on the NSF
web page at: http://www.nsf.gov/cgi-bin/getpub?nsf0178
Proposals are due to NSF by May 30, 2001.
The SBI project is a multi-year, interdisciplinary program to
investigate the impact of global change on physical, biological, and
biogeochemical processes over the Chukchi and Beaufort Sea shelf-basin
region in the Western Arctic Ocean. The project is sponsored by the
National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research.
The SBI Science Plan, Implementation Plan, Data Policy, and other
relevant SBI project information is available on the SBI web page:
http://utk-biogw.bio.utk.edu/SBI.nsf. In addition, we have set up a
table on the SBI web page for potential proposers interested in linking
with other people planning to submit Phase II proposals, which is
voluntary. People interested in posting their name/interest area/contact
email on this table should send that information to Barbara Clark
(bclark3 [at] utk.edu) at the SBI Project Office.
