The Fourth Annual Seminar on Ethnosocial Processes in Siberia
"Eurasian Aspect of Siberian Ethnosocial Processes"

13-15 September 2001
Ulan-Ude, Siberia

The Siberian Section of the Russian Academy of Sciences, invites papers
for the international seminar on ethnosocial processes in Siberia. The
topic for discussion this year is the "Eurasian Aspect of Siberian
Ethnosocial Processes."

Among the titles of sessions are the following themes:
- Ethnic identity under the forces of globalisation
- The traditional and modern religions of the native peoples of Siberia
- Changes to the value structure of Siberian youth
- The interrelation of Slavic, Turkic, and Paleoasiatic influences in
Eurasian civilization
- Ecology and economics under market conditions

The registration cost of the conference will be $200 USD which will
include the translation of texts into Russian and room and board during
the conference.

As with past seminars, the papers will be published in Russian in an
edited volume. Papers should be received no later than 30 June 2001.
They should be 10-12 pages in length and composed in Microsoft Word.
