Foundation for Glacier and Environmental Research Seeks Director

The Foundation for Glacier and Environmental Research is a nonprofit
501c3 organization.

The Director will be responsible for management, program direction, and
fundraising of a science training and research program located on the
Juneau Icefield, Alaska, and adjacent parts of the Taku River drainage
of northwestern British Columbia.

The Director will work in coordination with the University of Alaska
Southeast, native organizations, and other entities such as academic
cooperation/coordination with the University of Idaho in terms of
background history over the past 25 years of this program to continue
and expand the present program priorities. Experience in research and
teaching of earth science systems required.

Supervisory experience with paid and volunteer staff (will be) a plus.
The Director reports to the Board of Directors. The position is located
in Juneau, Alaska.
