A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available immediately in the area of
evolution of antifreeze genes and gene loci in polar fishes funded by
the US National Science Foundation. Primary responsibility is on the
cloning and characterization of large DNA segments containing antifreeze
gene familiy. Proficiency in molecular biology and protein biochemistry
techniques, large insert genomic library (fosmid, BAC or YAC)
construction, and strong background in bioinformatics and molecular
evolution are highly desirable. Position includes opportunities for
travel to Antarctica and the Arctic to acquire fish samples and conduct
field research. Duration of the position is for 1 year renewable yearly
for a total of 3 years. Interested individuals please send curriculum
