ABOUT THE BOOK
This book, by the writer Kirsti Blom and polar biologist Eva Fuglei, is
a children's book, but is indeed for people of all ages. It is
illustrated with photos taken by the authors and describes how arctic
foxes live through the whole year, from when they are born in the spring
deep in holes in the earth, through autumn and winter, and until new
pups are born the next spring.

Arctic foxes have a circumpolar distribution and live high in the
mountains or way up north, almost up to the North Pole. In most of the
distribution area they are abundant, but in Scandinavia the arctic foxes
are endangered and threatened by extinction.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Kirsti Blom is an author who has written many books, both for adults and
for children. Eva Fuglei is a research scientist who works for the
Norwegian Polar Institute with arctic foxes as her speciality.
