The World Data Center for Marine Environmental Studies (WDC-MARE) at the
University of Bremen, Germany, is seeking to fill a one-year Post-Doc
position in the discipline of scientific information and data
management.

For this position, the WDC-MARE is looking for a highly motivated
postdoctoral early career scientist to be responsible for the data
management task in a European Commission funded Research Training
Network "Si-WEBS." Key aspects are to collect, homogenize, and archive
information and data with PANGAEA. Data management includes, but is not
limited to biogeochemistry and the coupling between the Silicon and
Carbon cycles in rivers, coastal zones, and open oceans with special
emphasis on the Silicon transformations along the Land-Ocean Continuum.

To be eligible for an appointment under a European Commission network
contract, young researchers must meet ALL of the conditions published at:

The position starts on 1 October 2005 and is limited to a term of one
year. It is highly recommended that the successful candidate
participates in the Si-WEBS Summer School (17-23 September 2005 in
Corsica).
