Systematics, biogeography, coevolution, and biodiversity of host-parasite systems in Holarctic ruminants; structure and history of the holarctic fauna. Beringian historical biogeography focusing on mammals and parasites in terrestrial and marine systems (The Beringian Coevolution Project). Impact of global change (climatological and anthropogenic) on distribution, host associations, and emergence of parasites and pathogens in arctic ruminants. Specific projects on biodiversity of parasites in barren-ground and woodland caribou, Dall sheep, and muskoxen.
