The ARCSS Committee sponsored this eTown Meeting to provide an open forum for community input on data and modeling strategies for arctic system synthesis. As the ARCSS Program seeks to advance an integrative understanding of the arctic system, the research community is faced with the challenge of realizing unique ways to address arctic system science and policy questions that utilize data sets across system components, processes and scales.
This eTown Meeting focused on ways that data can be managed and disseminated to facilitate synthesis and dissemination of arctic system science.
The presentation and discussion focused on the following question:
- What modeling and data integration methods, approaches or activities will best contribute to synthesis and uncover new insights into the workings of the Arctic system?
