A brief meeting of opportunity was held in conjunction with the SEARCH Open Science Meeting in Seattle, Washington on 28 October 2003. During the meeting, the ARCSS Committee discussed timelines for the science plan and implementation guidelines, heard updates from the Big Sky Synthesis Retreat and HARC, and began planning the second synthesis retreat. Twelve participants attended the meeting.
