Date and Time: Tuesday, 11 December 2018 | 12:30-1:30 p.m. EST
Location: Cambria Hotel Washington, D.C. Convention Center, Duke I room

The Sea Ice Prediction Network–Phase 2 (SIPN2) will convene an open meeting on Tuesday, 11 December from 12:30-1:30 p.m. This meeting is open to the public.

This meeting is organized to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration among members of sea ice research community. A brief overview of the 2018 Arctic sea ice/Sea Ice Outlook season will also be provided.

Meeting participants are invited to share a one-minute update about their projects/efforts related to sea ice prediction and/or observations. A PowerPoint template is available for those who want to share information in a slide format and may be requested from Betsy Turner-Bogren, ARCUS (betsy [at] arcus.org).

These fast-paced updates could include:

  • The name of your project or effort,
  • A brief summary of your project/effort (in lay-person language),
  • A key highlight,
  • Any opportunities you seek/offer for collaboration with other community members, and
  • Contact information for sharing additional information.

Your presentation slide should be sent to Betsy Turner-Bogren, ARCUS (betsy [at] arcus.org) by Monday, 3 December 2018.

Following the meeting, participant slides will be posted online to share with members of sea ice research community — let us know if you do not want your slides posted.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend and/or will provide a one-minute update. NOTE: a boxed lunch will be provided free of charge to meeting participants who RSVP by Friday, 30 November 2018.

For questions and to RSVP, please contact Betsy Turner-Bogren, ARCUS (betsy [at] arcus.org).
