Gabrielle Russomagno is an American photographer and multi-disciplinary artist who has explored a range of subjects from the signposts and artifacts of American culture to the emotional landscape of coming of age. Exhibiting internationally since 1985, her artwork is held in the permanent collections of the University of New Mexico Museum of Art, Yale University Beineke Library, the University of Pennsylvania, the Bibliotheque Nationale, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York among others.

In 2008 she co-founded the art collaborative TangenT, focused on immersive installations that explore social and political themes. Her current installation work is dedicated to materializing the complexity of personal and societal narratives on a warming planet.

She received her BA in Studio Art and American Studies from Smith College and her MFA in Photography from Yale School of Art. Her firm Coaching for Creatives leverages decades of experience in education, strategy, and change management to provide positive growth to individuals in creative fields. She is currently on the BFA faculty at The School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Throughout her career Russomagno has worked as a production photographer for independent films. And in 2011, she launched Ilsa Loves Rick, a side project of artisan gold jewelry. A resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania and Brooklyn, New York, she has been teaching and working in Philadelphia and New York since 1990.
