Accommodations

A block of sleeping rooms with a special rate has been reserved for workshop participants at the Sheraton Hotel.

Participants are responsible for making and paying for your own hotel reservations. Hotel reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

The special rates are guaranteed until Friday, 22 April 2011; after that date, the rates will only be available as space allows.

Getting to the Workshop

Directions From Airport

The closest airport to the Sheraton is the Anchorage International Airport. The Sheraton is about 12 miles from the airport, about a 15-minute drive. From the airport take the Minnesota/Downtown Exit (right lane). Proceed on Minnesota to 6th Avenue and turn right. The Sheraton will be located on the left, approximately 12 miles from the airport. Taxi service is available for approximately $20.00 each way.

There is parking on-site for $12.00/day.

Era Alaska Airline Discount

Era Alaska has graciously offered a 15% discount on all flights for attendees going to the Science Workshop. All reservations must be made directly with Era Alaska at 1-800-866-8394 (Era Aviation, Frontier Flying or Hageland Aviation). You must state the Event ID number: ARC11 to receive the discount.
