ARCUS | About ALIAS
The Arctic Logistics Information and Support (ALIAS) website serves as an access point and information source for logistics in arctic research. Sponsored and supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation and developed by ARCUS, ALIAS provides logistics resource information on a circumpolar scale for the benefit of arctic researchers, managers, and planners.
ALIAS helps researchers to assess the feasibility of working in a specific area, plan the conduct of their research, view current research in a given area, access information about ship opportunities and cruise tracks, and to make useful scientific and logistics support contacts. Maps and publications of current arctic research are available through the ALIAS website.
To reach its full potential, ALIAS needs information and updates from users with information about research sites in the Arctic. If you are the manager of an arctic research resource, or a knowledgeable user of any research location or facility, please help us to gather the vital information that will make ALIAS a powerful tool for the entire circumarctic research community.
