Arctic GIS | Maps & Data Links

The websites listed in this Maps & Data Links section contain data and map resources relevant to Arctic GIS/GII. The websites have been organized into four separate categories:

• Interactive Online Maps – Websites with Internet mapping applications or interfaces.

• Static Maps – Websites with pre-made maps for downloading and printing.

• GIS Data & Metadata – Websites with GIS data or metadata relevant to arctic research.

• General/Non-GIS Data – Websites with data or metadata relevant to arctic research; although the data available through these websites may not be in GIS format, the data may be useful to GIS/GII development.

Note: Websites may  be listed in more than one category if the site contains various types of resources (e.g., a website will provide static printable maps and downloadable GIS data).

Possible future development of these pages could include a searchable interface of arctic-relevant data providers, so that users may search for sites based on data type, geographic coverage, theme, or keyword.
