  1. Gather input from arctic GIS users and experts to outline steps to develop and maintain the Spatial Data Infrastructure for an Arctic GIS
  •   Functions needed and desired by users
  •   Data layers to include in an Arctic GIS
  •   Format of the user interface of an Arctic GIS
  •   Access to data and metadata
  •   System security and access to spatial data
  •   Organizations and individuals who should be involved and what level of involvement is productive
  •   Additional considerations for developing Arctic GII and Arctic GIS
2. Discuss approaches and capable groups for doing the work
3. Identify volunteers to continue working as advisors to this project
