Organizers announce availability of the 2015 University National
Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS) Chief Scientist Training Cruise,
sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The cruise and pre-cruise
information workshop, scheduled for 24-29 August 2015, will begin and
end in Duluth, Minnesota

This cruise and pre-cruise workshop will instruct early career marine
scientists (including senior PhD students, postdocs, and first- or
second-year faculty members) on how to effectively plan for, acquire,
and utilize time at sea for multi-disciplinary research and education.
The program will include a three-day cruise on the R/V Blue Heron to
locations on Lake Superior.

Applicants must be an employee or student (U.S. citizen or permanent
resident) at a U.S. institution or a U.S. citizen working abroad.

Application deadline: Friday, 10 July 2015.
