On Tuesday, 17 March 2015 at 3:00 p.m. EDT, the Interagency Arctic
Research Policy Committee (IARPC) will host a webinar on the Year of
Polar Prediction (YOPP), a flagship activity under the auspices of the
World Meteorological Organization (WMO)-World Weather Research Programme
(WWRP)-Polar Prediction Project (PPP). The Webinar is both an
informational event as well as an initial discussion among Federal
government funders about possible collaboration.

The webinar will be convened in two parts. The first part will last
approximately 45 minutes and will be an informational session open to
all members of the research community. Don Perovich (USACE/CRREL),
Marika Holland (UCAR), and David Bromwich (OSU) will provide short
presentations on the observational and modeling objectives of YOPP,
followed by questions and answers. At the conclusion of the first part
of the webinar, a teleconference line will be opened for a Federal
funders-only discussion led by a panel of program managers.
