Cambridge University Press has released the second edition of "The
Arctic Climate System," written by Mark C. Serreze and Roger G. Barry.
It is published as part of the Cambridge Atmospheric and Space Science
series. This textbook is aimed at upper-level graduate and graduate
students and provides an in-depth analysis of the Arctic climate system,
its links with the global climate system, and the pronounced
environmental changes unfolding in the region.

The significant advances in Arctic science made since the first edition
of this book was published in 2005 are reflected in extensive updates to
much of the material and an improved organization of the text. The text
contains numerous illustrations to extensive references to research
papers on specific topics.
