The National Science Foundation (NSF) seeks candidates for the position
of Safety and Health Officer for the Environment, Safety, and Health
Section in the Division of Polar Programs (PLR), Geosciences
Directorate. The position will be based in Arlington, Virginia.

The Safety and Health Officer is responsible for developing,
implementing, and managing programs to safeguard all PLR-supported
personnel and assets in both Polar Regions. The safety and welfare of
personnel in the remote and hostile Polar Regions are critical to
mission accomplishment.

Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience
equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service in or related to
safety and occupational health that provided the specific knowledge,
skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
