You are invited to join a webinar on Thursday, 31 October 2013 at 1:30
p.m. EDT hosted by NSF and mediated by KnowInnovation, developer of the
ArcticHub (http://www.arctichub.net). This webinar has been rescheduled
due to government shutdown earlier in October. It will be convened to
discuss concepts of management and governance as they apply to long-term
observing. These concepts are broadly applicable; so, all are invited
to join.

Example webinar topics include:

- What is the lifecycle of an observing network?
- Must innovation be a key component at critical review stages or is
quality maintenance of the information stream and observing
structure satisfactory?
- Are there cost-savings from non-traditional observing methods?
- What role should the data or merged products play in determining
the design and longevity of the network?

At the conclusion of the webinar, there will be an opportunity for those
interested in developing discussion groups around these management and
governance questions to learn more about available resources to support
that discussion activity, whether it would be online, via
teleconference, or in person meetings.

We hope that you will join us for this 90 minute event. Details for
accessing the webinar and phone bridge follow below. If you are unable
to attend but would like to follow the discussions and development
online, the webinar will be posted on www.arctichub.net.
