A Town Hall meeting on "The Study of Environmental Arctic Change
(SEARCH): Current Activities and Future Directions" is scheduled for
Monday, 3 December 2012 from 6:15-7:15 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Held
in conjunction with the American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2012 Fall
Meeting, it will take place in Moscone West, Room 2010. Refreshments
will be served.

The Study of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH) is a multi-agency
program focused on the scientific understanding needed to help society
understand and respond to a rapidly changing Arctic. The Town Hall will
provide a forum for open exchange on several issues during an important
stage in the development of SEARCH.

Discussion topics will include:

- Recommendations for the Arctic Observing Network (AON), including
a report for AON Design and Implementation (see:
http://www.arcus.org/search/aon/adi)
- SEARCH five-year goals (see: http://www.arcus.org/search/goals)
- Development of a new SEARCH implementation strategy

Members of the arctic science, education, and policy communities are
invited to attend. We particularly encourage students and young
investigators to participate.

Those attending the SEARCH Town Hall also may be interested in the
International Study of Arctic Change (ISAC) Town Hall on a 2013 Arctic
Observing Summit. The ISAC Town Hall will take place Monday, 3 December,
7:30-9:00 p.m. in the ARCUS Arctic Community Meeting Room, San Francisco
Marriott Marquis (Fourth Floor, Pacific Room J, see:
http://www.arcus.org/communitymeetings/agu/2012/schedule).
