Accommodations:

A block of rooms was reserved for meeting
participants at the Washington Terrace
Hotel in Washington, D.C. Room reservations
are now available on space-and
rate-availability basis only.

Morning and Afternoon
Breaks:
|
Freshly brewed coffee, decaffeinated
coffee, assorted teas, fresh juice,
assorted pastries, bagels and cream
cheese and yogurts will be available to
meeting participants each morning (see
above for specific times). Afternoon
coffee service, assorted cookies, and
snacks will be available 15 minutes prior
to the start of each afternoon session.

What to Wear:
|
The daytime temperatures are averaging
between 60-70º. The hotel is
air-conditioned so you may wish to have a
sweater with you in the meeting rooms.
Although not required, we don’t mind if
you dress up for the banquet.
|
|
Reception/Banquet:
|
A reception with hosted bar in the State
Room and a banquet in the Terrace East
& West will be held the evening of
Thursday, 13 May 2004 at the Washington
Terrace Hotel. The banquet entree choices
are Pepper Crusted Petit Filet Mignon,
Garlic Lemon Roast Chicken Breast, or
Vegetable Napoleon. We encourage all
meeting participants to attend. A special
presentation during the banquet is noted
on your meeting program. Non-ARCUS guests
are welcome to attend the banquet for a
$40.00 fee; guest tickets may be
purchased at the meeting registration
site. However, all guest reservations
must be made by Friday, 7 May 2004.

Airports to the Washington Terrace

FROM WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT
(only 3 miles to hotel):

Taxi service is available at a cost of
approximately $10.00 one-way.

FROM WASHINGTON DULLES AIRPORT
(21.5 miles, 45 minute ride depending on
traffic):

Super Shuttle at 800-BLUEVAN
(1/800-258-3826) is available from 6:00
a.m. – 12:00 a.m. daily at a one-way rate
of approximately $23. Taxi service is also
available for approximately $45.00 one-way.

FROM BWI AIRPORT: (50 miles, 60
minute ride depending on traffic):
|
|
|
Super Shuttle at 800-BLUEVAN
(1/800-258-3826) is available from 6:00
a.m. – 12:00 a.m. daily at a one-way rate
of approximately $40. Taxi service is
also available for approximately $55.00
one-way.

Messages to meeting participants:
202-232-7000 (tell the message taker it
is for an ARCUS meeting participant) –
Fax: 1-202-332-8436. ARCUS staff will
check for messages throughout each day of
the meetings.

AV Equipment:
|
Overhead projectors, slide projectors
with extra carousels, double screens,
pointers (laser/telescopic), wireless
lapel microphone and hand-held
microphone, podium microphone, and LCD
projectors will be available.
Photocopying will be available through
ARCUS staff in the Meeting Planners
Office on the second floor in the Cabinet
Room. Networked computers with Internet
access and printing capability will be
available for participant use in the
State Room. A wireless LAN also will be
available to participants at the meeting
site. A data port is available on the
hotel room telephones for modem hookup,
as well.

Posters:
|
The Poster Session will take place from
5:15 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, 13 May
2004 in the State Room. Posters can be
set up in the State Room after 12:00 p.m.
on Wednesday, 12 May 2004 and MUST be
removed no later than 12:00 p.m. on
Friday, 14 May 2004 .
