SEARCH Open Science Meeting 2003
ARCUS partnered with
the SEARCH Open Science Meeting (OSM) sponsoring
agencies and the meeting organizers to hold a student
poster competition to recognize research excellence in student
posters submitted to the SEARCH OSM. The student posters were
judged by the meeting organizing committee, which was a representative
multi-agency and multi-disciplinary group. The judging criteria
included:
- significant contribution to arctic science research
- clear, concise statement of problem and organization
of ideas and information
- textual and visual acuity
ARCUS partnered with the Arctic Institute of North America (AINA)
to offer awards to the the competition winners. The winners
(featured below) will receive support to attend a relevant conference
on the Arctic and their work will be highlighted at the 2004
Arctic Forum in Washington DC. They also will receive a two-year
Arctic
Institute of North America membership, which includes
a subscription to the interdisciplinary journal ARCTIC.
Congratulations to Philip, Kenneth, Matthias, and all of the
student scholars for their excellent posters and their contributions
to SEARCH scholarship. Scroll down the page to view the student
posters presented at the meeting.
