  1. Registration and Call for Abstracts
    25th International Arctic Workshop
    10-13 May 2015
    Bergen, Norway

Organizers of the 25th International Arctic Workshop announce the
availability of registration and abstract submission. The workshop will
be held 10-13 May 2015 in Bergen, Norway.

This annual gathering of international researchers is an opportunity for
researchers to present their work on any aspect of high-latitude
environments (past, present, and future). The conference strives for a
relaxed, friendly, and interactive experience. Student participation is
strongly encouraged, with partial support available to those making
presentations.

The meeting is open to all interested in the Arctic, and will consist of
a series of talks and poster sessions covering all aspects of
high-latitude environments. Previous Arctic Workshops have included
presentations on Arctic climate, glaciology, environmental geochemistry,
geomorphology, hydrology, soils, ecology, oceanography, Quaternary
history, and more. A traditional strength of the Workshop has been
Arctic paleoenvironments, both marine and terrestrial.

Registration and Abstract deadline: 15 April 2015.

  1. Call for Abstracts
    7th International Conference on Arctic Margins
    2-5 June 2015
    Trondheim, Norway

Organizers of the 7th International Conference on Arctic Margins (ICAM
VII) announce a call for abstracts. The meeting will be held 2-5 June
2015 in Trondheim, Norway.

ICAM is a forum for earth scientists who study the Arctic. ICAM VII is
hosted by the Geological Survey of Norway (NGU), and its scientific
themes are as follows:

- New data on seafloor geology and deep structure of the Arctic
Basin and adjacent areas (their implementation in international
projects, with sub-session on planned field activities);
- Circum-Arctic onshore-offshore structural relations;
- Stratigraphy, paleo-environments and geological history of the
Arctic basin and adjacent areas;
- Arctic Large Igneous Provinces and their geodynamic significance;
- Plate reconstructions and lithosphere evolution of the Arctic
region;
- Glacial events and their geological consequences (with sub-session
on origin of bottom sediments); and
- Arctic Gas Hydrates.

Abstracts are accepted for both oral and poster presentations via email
to Morten Smelror, (morten.smelror [at] ngu.no). Presentations will be
selected to cover the conference scientific themes. Given the limited
number of oral presentation slots available, the Organizing Committee,
in collaboration with session chairs, may assign some abstracts to the
poster session. Both oral and poster presentations carry equal weight
and abstracts will be published for both. Authors will be informed of
the final format of their presentation before end of April 2015.

Abstract submission deadline: 15 April 2015.
